Personal Year 1: a year of beginning
David Phillips calls it an active year of adjustment. Here is who is in one in 2027, and what it tends to be about.
Anyone born on a day like January 7, March 5, June 2, September 8, December 5, whatever the birth year. The year itself does not matter, only the month and the day.
Example, January 7: 1 + 7 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 7 = 19 → 10 → 1

A Personal Year 1 starts a new nine-year round. It is a year of settling into whatever changed the year before, and of daring to do things a new way. Old habits are easier to drop now, because a new routine needs the room.
In this tradition, a 1 year is linked with starting things and breaking old habits.
Phillips adds that it is a strong year for money, selling and property. We put it more simply: starting things tends to come easier in a 1 year, whatever those things are.
Where it sits in the cycle
In Phillips's nine-year cycle, the 9 and the 1 are the big peak, the 6 is a smaller peak, and the 4 and the 7 are the quiet low points. A Personal Year 1 is a peak. He is clear that the low points are not bad years. They are years for steadying.
Inside an 11/2 year
2027 itself adds up to 11, a master number, which reduces to 2. Everyone's Personal Year in 2027 sits inside that wider year of partnership and patience. Why 2027 is an 11/2 year

Personal Years follow David A. Phillips, The Complete Book of Numerology, chapter 9, where the year runs January 1 to December 31 for everyone. No numerology system is scientifically proven; this describes a pattern people use for reflection, not a forecast. See your Life Path against your year
