The planes
The Soul plane
The Soul plane is the register of feeling. Its numbers work through sensitivity, intuition, and connection: reading a room, following an impression, meeting the world heart first. Someone weighted here senses before they reason.
The numbers
2 · 5 · 8
This is the register of feeling.
How the plane matures
Read the row as a progression. Each number carries the plane a step further.
- 2Cooperation
The row opens with the 2, the other person entering the frame. Cooperation here is perception itself, the capacity to feel what a situation holds before logic confirms it.
- 5Freedom
The 5 sits at the centre of the row, and of the whole grid. Freedom on this plane is emotional freedom, feeling that moves rather than clings.
- 8Authority
The 8 closes the row by putting feeling to work. Authority here is wisdom expressed through action, intuition that has learned to execute.
The full row: Emotional balance
A chart with 2, 5, and 8 all filled carries the arrow Phillips labels Emotional balance. This tends to show up as steadiness under feeling: sensitivity that informs rather than floods. The full range from perception to expression stays connected.
The empty row: Hypersensitivity
An empty middle row is read as the arrow of Hypersensitivity. Phillips reads it not as an absence of soul but as a lack of its natural protection: feeling arrives exposed, easily hurt, often masked by withdrawal. The work it names is conscious grounding.
Leaning hard on this plane
Leaning hard on the Soul plane tends to look like a life navigated by feel. The risk is absorbing more of a room than can be carried, and needing recovery time that never gets scheduled.
