The planes
The Physical plane
The Physical plane is the register of doing. Its numbers work through the concrete: starting things, building them, and grounding what is learned in direct experience. Someone weighted here trusts what can be touched, made, and finished.
The numbers
1 · 4 · 7
This is the register of doing.
How the plane matures
Read the row as a progression. Each number carries the plane a step further.
- 1Initiation
The row opens with the 1, the first step. Initiation here is the raw willingness to begin, to act before the whole road is visible.
- 4Foundation
The 4 turns that start into structure. Foundation is the patient middle of the row, effort becoming something that stands.
- 7Wisdom
The 7 closes the row by turning experience into understanding. Wisdom on this plane is earned by hand, learned through what was actually lived rather than read.
The full row: Practicality
A chart with 1, 4, and 7 all filled carries the arrow Phillips labels Practicality. This tends to show up as hands-on, grounded competence, a comfort with making things real. The whole cycle of doing, from first step to earned understanding, is connected.
The empty row: Frustration
An empty bottom row is read as the arrow of Frustration. Nothing on the Physical plane means practical matters do not come free; patience and hands-on skill get built consciously instead of arriving as defaults. It names a growth edge, not a verdict.
Leaning hard on this plane
Leaning hard on the Physical plane tends to look like a life measured in finished things. The risk is treating what cannot be touched, feeling and reflection, as less real than what can.
What in your life right now exists only as action, and what might change if you let yourself feel or think it through first?
