Life Path 3 is the number of expression.
The 3 opens the Mind plane. The old numerologists called it the gateway to the conscious mind, the seat of memory and imagination, the number that turns what is felt into what can be said.
A 3 makes meaning by putting the inner world out into the open, in words or color or play. The tradition says it needs that outlet the way lungs need air. Without one, the mind runs unsupervised and tends toward overthinking.
The difficulty is scatter. So many interests, so little that gets finished. And expression can slide into performance, a brightness that entertains while the real feeling stays hidden behind it.
How Life Path 3 is calculated
A birth date summing to 12, 21, 30, or 39 reduces to 3.
A worked example
Take someone born on January 8, 2010. Add every digit of the date, then add the digits of the answer until one digit is left:
- 1 + 8 + 2 + 0 + 1 + 0 = 12
- 1 + 2 = 3
