Gemini, the twins
A sign about perception: taking in the world before deciding what it means.
Same name, different weeks. The two traditions measure the sky from different starting points, now about 24 degrees apart. Dates are for 2026 and can shift by a day from year to year. Why there are two

Gemini is learning to see. Not to have the answer, but to notice everything: faces, facts, stories, the odd detail nobody else caught. Forrest calls it the witness. Being confused is fine here. It only means the world is ahead of the explanation.
It comes with curiosity, a quick mind, and energy that runs on very little sleep. Gemini asks the question, and the best of it actually listens to the answer.
A quick mind can talk its way around anything, even the truth. When it never slows down, the buzz turns into nerves, busyness, and burnout.
The Vedic reading

A guest of Mercury, the prince.
The king stays with the prince, Mercury. Parashara counts the two as neutral: no friendship and no friction. The Sun's light here moves through talk, learning, and trade, Mercury's own ground.
Parashara pictures Gemini as a man and a woman together, one holding a mace and one a lute.

- Part of the body
- The arms
Parashara pictures time as one person lying across the sky, with Aries at the head and Pisces at the feet. Each sign is one part of that body. One more thing: in Vedic practice, people usually go by their Moon sign rather than their Sun sign. The Moon sign needs a birth time.
